“ Stopped by here with the family on the way from Vermont. After 10 days of eating mostly-american style cuisine (SAD) we were craving something with more vegetables and more spice. This place checked all the right boxes. After checking out buffet options we opted for the buffet, and were not disappointed. All the items were freshly cooked and super delicious. I don't think my kids have ever done an Indian buffet in the past so they were super excited to to try freely. Stand out items were Onion Pakoda (Onion Bhaji fritters), and Sabudana Vada (tapioca / mashed potato fritter). My kids got multiple seconds of Sabudana Vada - usually I have to beg them to try something they haven't tried before, but here they were excited to just go for it. Additionally, the prices here are utterly incredible (low). Adult buffet costs less than a McDonald burger + Fries, and kids buffet is even less. Great place that won't break the bank for the whole family. Highly recommended for when you are craving some South Indian food. ”

“ The food here is outstanding and the service by the owner was wonderful. We ordered way too much food - and I wished for an extra stomach. They brought us out a mango lassi, we ordered palak paneer, chicken tikka masala, garlic and rosemary naan, a side order of lentil dal, palak chicken and the grilled meats. All of it very flavorful and delicious. We will be back when in Albany!! ”
“ Very, very delicious. Chef's dedication and talent are evident. Oddly Friday eve it was all takeout except us 2, treated like royalty by over-solicitous staff. Tamarind eggplant is one of the most delicious Indian dishes I ever had. Lamb korma delicious; meat quality fair. Spinach delicious. Naan great. ”

The Taj has become a family favorite dining out experience for us...the food is immaculate and the service is always fast and friendly. If you're new to trying different cuisines -or an avid food adventurer- the taj is an absolute must try. They have a wide variety of top quality dishes that carry their own unique and fantastic flavor. From chicken to squid, the taj has everything you could want on any level of spice you prefer. We will continue to frequent this restaurant and recommend it to anyone looking for a new place to try! ”
“ Wow I am impressed on this far away and hidden gem. This place is one of the best places that I have been to for Indian food in my whole life. The food is even better than the food that are offered in restaurants in NYC. The food in here is fresh and delicious I ordered the Lamb Tikka Saag and it was delicious. The spinach were fresh and well grinded and mixed up to make this dish We also ordered Garlic and Honey Ginger Naans. They were super delicious. It is even more delicious when I mixed it with the creamy sauce from my Saag My friends who were with me dining in this place also liked the place and recommend it. I'd say this place is definitely worth coming to enjoy Indian delicacies :) ”
